The IIChE Anna University Student Chapter (IIChE AU-SC) is the premier professional student body operating under the aegis of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Alagappa College of Technology (ACTech), Anna University, Chennai.

Our mission is to empower chemical engineering students by bridging academia and the process industry through hands-on technical workshops, industrial visits, national symposia, expert guest lectures, and student research mentorship.

Key Activities & Programs

• Technical Workshops & Seminars: Practical training in chemical process simulation, Aspen Plus, MATLAB, process safety, and computational fluid dynamics.
• Industrial Visits: Experiential learning at leading refineries, petrochemical plants, pharmaceutical companies, and fertilizer complexes.
• Flagship Events & Symposia: Paper presentations, chemical quiz competitions, plant design challenges, and student networking conferences.
• Guest Lectures: Knowledge-sharing sessions with distinguished industry leaders, chemical engineering scientists, and alumni.
